The Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade Rolls Again June 12th – 15th 2022
(Cedar Rapids, IA) News Radio 600 WMT AM of Cedar Rapids proudly announces the 23rd Annual WMT Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade. Organizers expect nearly 500 participating tractors on the ride this year, with hundreds of others supporting those drivers.
For those not familiar with Tractorcade, many people compare it to RAGBRAI, only with tractors. This year, up to 500 tractors, along with more than 500 support people will take part in the ride, based out of West Liberty, IA.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for tractor collectors and enthusiasts to celebrate their hobby and farm heritage together. What better place than the state of Iowa to do this—there truly is no other opportunity like this in the world!
The event begins at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds on Sunday, June 12th. That afternoon, the tractor drivers, along with their support teams, will check in, have a great meal, get acquainted, attend the safety meeting and review the many safety rules that govern Tractorcade. Public is invited. Food and entertainment available.
On Monday, June 13th, the tractors will roll out of West Liberty at 7:00 AM and travel through Lone Tree, Conesville, Columbus Junction, Fredonia, Letts before returning to West Liberty. On Tuesday, the riders will leave West Liberty starting at 7:00 AM passing through Wilton, Durant, Sunbury, Bennett, Tipton and Springdale on their way back to West Liberty. The final day of driving will take Tractorcade 2022 on a loop to Downey, West Branch and Cedar Bluff before heading back to West Liberty. Each day the drivers will ride for approximately 75 miles rolling through the countryside enjoying the scenery at 10-15 miles per hour. The public is invited to see the tractors on display on Sunday afternoon and as they ride through the area or join them for lunch along the way in Columbus Junction on Monday or Bennett on Tuesday.
