The Muscatine Symphony Orchestra presents: MasterWorks IV: “Dueling Batons: Scandinavian Marvels”.

Saturday, April 13, 2019

Two conductors will lead the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, April 13, during its final MasterWorks concert of the 2018-19 season. Muscatine Symphony’s Maestro Brian Dollinger has welcomed Maestro Greg Pritchard, director of the Chamber and Youth Orchestras at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga., to take the podium for part of the concert and to also perform a bassoon solo. In addition to his post at Gwinnett, Maestro Pritchard is also the associate director of the International Conductors Workshop and Competition and first prize winner of the Advanced Conducting Workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has won several state and regional honors at conducting clinics. The Muscatine Symphony finishes the season by offering music by two of the best-known Scandinavian composers – Edward Grieg and Jean Sibelius. Dollinger has planned four fantastic works to end the season.
