Environmental Learning Center in Discovery Park
This 100 acre park features a reclaimed farmstead, fishing ponds, small streams, a wildlife viewing blind and an outdoor raptor enclosure. The park is home to the Environmental Learning Center, which contains two 1,200 gallon aquariums with native fish, live reptiles and amphibians. Walking and biking in Discovery Park are two favorite activities as there are nearly 2-miles of hard-surfaced hiking/biking trails and 1.5 miles of mowed trails. The park is a popular fishing spot as well as it boasts two stocked fishing ponds and two fishing docks, one of which is handicapped accessible. There are picnic shelters at the park, too.
Discovery Park is also right next door to the Muscatine Arboretum and the Old Barn and just across the street from Muscatine's Fuller Park, which contains our disc golf course, making Discovery Park a great place to start a fun day in Muscatine.
Discovery Park is conveniently located at 3300 Cedar St., on the west side of Muscatine near the corner of Highway 61 and Cedar Street.
Discovery Park is open daily from 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
